Karon Town

Karon Town is a small but a lively city with great restaurants to dine, markets to shop, a beautiful temple and a raucous nightlife. It is among the best tranquil towns to spend your vacation in Thailand.

As you walk along the streets of Karon Town, you will bump into a beautiful traditional Buddhist temple known as Karon Temple. It is a photogenic piece of architecture and it hosts the Karon Temple Market every Tuesday and Friday at its grounds. The market is a great place full of fun where you can buy souvenirs, eat giant water bugs, and try out street Thai cuisine.

Karon is a beach town as it hosts the famous Karon beach which is among Phuket's popular holiday destinations. The beach is wide and long enough and never gets crowded. It has a calm sea with clear waters and beautiful views of the sunset. A wide bicycle and pedestrian path runs through the length of the beach where you can enjoy the view of the sea as you ride a bike or walk around on the white sand beach. At the southern side of the beach is a fine coral reef that stretches towards Kata Island. Karon beach is also rich in water sports activities and some of them you should try include snorkelling, paddle boarding, kayaking, and parasailing. Swimming in the crystal clear water is also fun. ‘along the southern part of the beach and the opposite side of the road are large resorts lined up where you can dine and also have the best nightlife at Karon Town.

This is a lake located in the Karon beach area that has a jogging and a cycling path. There are also several seafood restaurants along the lake serving fresh seafood which you should definitely try. There are also heavenly massage services offered in different spas which you should not miss out.
