The trail to Black Rock Viewpoint climbs about a kilometre up the hill, and the effort is rewarded with a wide view over the Andaman Sea. The viewpoint is named after the granite rock at the top.

Black Rock Viewpoint is near Nui Beach. The trail starts from the car park where you leave your bike to reach the beach. Instead of taking the easy path down to Nui Beach, take the trail up the hill to the viewpoint; you can always swim when you come back down. After a 1km walk through the jungle, a big black granite rock tells you that you have reached the top.
Take your time and gaze out over the Andaman Sea. The view and its colours are your reward for the climb.
